PWS is a safe, inclusive and warm environment, set up to empower and inspire women to rebuild your life with dignity. 

PWS is home to a network of woman who knows what you’re going through. It is this collective of shared experiences and mutual support that assures you that you are strong, smart, and capable and you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

We offer so much more than a bed for the night.  Our specialised services our provided by a professional Shelter Manager and caseworkers.  Their support includes personal case management as well as assistance with health, mental health, legal, education and employment opportunities and financial literacy.

We aim to support you by providing a home, safe and secure, where you can heal and in time rebuild your life.

Parramatta Women’s Shelter is a community led shelter that has assisted over 250 women and children escaping domestic and family violence and homelessness.

Please note we are not an advisory service, but we work closely with other specialist services and agencies. We list a number here for your information and assistance.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE LINE (NSW)

he Domestic Violence Line is a 24 hour, 7 day a week, NSW statewide telephone crisis counselling and referral service for women, including trans women. Counsellors on the Domestic Violence Line can help you:

  • talk to the police and get legal help
  • get hospital care and family support services
  • obtain an Apprehended Violence Order (AVO)
  • develop a safety plan for you and your children
  • find emergency accommodation for you and your children
